Letter: Yolo Hospice

Letter: Yolo Hospice

I was pleased to read in The Davis Enterprise that Yolo Hospice in Davis has been ranked one of the best places to work in the country. The column said that Yolo Hospice “is not a classic capitalist organization, but a social-capitalist organization focused on stakeholders and not shareholders.” It is a place that focuses on providing a culture of caring with “values, mission, and purpose.”

After the illness and death of beloved family members, I have sought the help of Yolo Hospice in many ways — through their 凯发体育官方sporthome care, doctors, nurses, social workers, counselors, grief group leaders — and every person with whom I came in contact has been kind, patient, thoughtful and loving. The philosophy that created the Yolo Hospice work culture emanates out to its stakeholders and I am thankful. Congratulations, Yolo Hospice!
